Over the years Software Development has developed solutions for many clients across Australia and some international. At the start of the .com boom Software Development developed a few websites, one notable one called "The World Photo Gallery" which went on to sell to an international based company in America.

 

Software Development has worked for The University of Queensland (School of Population and Health) and the Queensland University of Technology (Institute of Health an Biomedical Innovation) in putting together integrated solutions that assist with behaviour modification via the use of SMS messenging. The work involved included designing websites and core software that managed the delivery, replying and scheduling of SMS to users based on certain critera.

 

Heilig and Partners came to Software Development to develop some geo referencing based packages that allowed the monitoring of explosion and vibration data for constructions sites in real time. This involved both a web interface and windows based desktop software. Software Development then went on to design an additional package that allowed the calculation of explosive weights and other type of construction methods which plots the resulting noise / vibrations using contours and heat grids while predicting certain vibration levels at certain properties. The system outputs files in KML format allowing viewing them with popular mapping tools such as Google Earth. The solutions are used in construction of notable projects such as the Clem 7 Tunnel, the Airport Link Tunnel and many more.

Software Development approached Dr Timothy Sharp to partner with them on a project called Mood Manager which assists people in dealing with depression and Anxiety. Dr Timothy Sharp is a leading psychologists who is also a professors, lectures, manages a chain of psychology clinics and runs The Happiness Insitute. Since partnerning with Dr Timothy Sharp he has also engaged Software Development services to help with the construction of The Happiness Diet website.

 

Over 15 years Software Development has been working closely with Aeropower Pty Ltd developing numerous packagers from Helicopter Safety systems that use lasers to determine clearnace distances, vegetation scanning software that calculates and plots how close vegetation is to conductors on transmission towers. Software Development also developed their main data collection and management software that collects photos and inspection data in the field using cameras, tablets and GPS referencing which is then managed in an Asset Management System allowing for advanced reporting, integration and manipulation of the collected information. The system also contains a web component that allows delivery of the collected and processed information to end users in a visual form through a web browser. The software developed for Aeropower is being used in Australian power companies including Powerlink Queensland, Western Power, Transend (Tasmania) and Electranet (South Australia).

 

Powerlink Queensland approached Software Development based on there experience in writing data collection software for Aeropower Pty Ltd. Powerlink required Software Development services to assist them in developing a modular data collection system for there lines man on the ground for inspecting transmission structures. Software Development also assisted in creating a special internal version of Aeropower Live software for Powerlink in SQL / ASP format for internal use.

 

Software Development was introduced to working with Stocks when Jared Mann from Trading Software Pty Ltd approached them to assist with the development of a program called Pair Trade Finder. Software Development successfully developed the package which is now being used across the world, and has also been white labelled to large stock brokerage firms for use with there particular clients. Pair Trade Finder makes it easy to find well correlated pairs for trading on the stock exchange. During their time with Trading Software Pty Ltd Software Development have also assisted in creating companion products for Pair Trade Finder such as Pair Trade Alerts. Jared has gone from an employee at a leading stock brokerage firm since Software Development first met him to running his own successful international company based on products they helped him bring to life.

 

A leading Property Management network apporached Software Development to develop an online CRM system for managing a vast array of property types which individual real estate agents would benefit from. Property types include Residential, Commerical, Land, Rentals and Holiday Units. The system also has the capability to download and upload to major portals such as RealEstate.com.au

 

Shane Brann, originally a director of VMS International Pty Ltd employed Software Development services while working there to develop a Service Management system to aid in the servicing and real time notifications of advanced measurement equipment such as parts use in F18 Jets. VMS International was eventually sold and years later Shane started working at Dental Depot Pty Ltd as a co-director. Shane re-contacted Software Development to help with there accounting solutions and service management software. Software Development then went on to write additional programs for Dental Depot such as a Rental / Agreement management software that manages rental and or leases on equipment for clients of Dental Depot. Software Development also wrote a front end in ASP .NET to allow clients to log in and see the progress of their repair jobs in real time while being serviced at Dental Depot.

 

Steve knows his stuff. He can quickly come to terms with a specification and deliver a great looking end product using best-practice methods. His code works reliably and is easy to maintain

Cims Pty Ltd contracted Software Development to develop a web based Records and Information Management Solution called Rim Doctor. The RIM Doctor is a set of simple, affordable and professional online assessments of records and information mangaement (RIM) practices suitable for any organisation anywhere. The software created allows the creation of the various tools and powers the engine to allow the tools to be completed online.

 

Sometimes Software Development will develop their own inhouse applications and solutions where they actually become a client of themselves. Software Development have developed world class mail servers that handled spam and advanced email management such as the emailAI and emailAI Pro that first started off as a simple project called (STEVEN). Software Development have also developed a number of mobile APPS and other software packages marketted around the world.

 

Imaje / Dematic on behalf of Toll had Software Development create a program that handled the automatically labelling of products running on conveyor systems in their warehouse. The high tech solution used optical bar code scanners that would read the parcels coming down a conveyor that would then look up the information to be printed on the label that would then be applied to the parcel as it passed under a labelling printer. This all happened within seconds and over multiple printers / scanners.

 

Eve Kiosk was developed for Australian Photographic in which it competed with the likes of Fuji and Kodak printing terminals that allowed users to print digital photos through a computer based system in real time in photographic shops. It was ahead of it's time and was successfully implemented in many locations.

 

Software Development developed a solution for Tuton Consulting that managed the maintenance of roads across the Regional Roads Group. It went on to win an award in Leadership Excellence. The tool could be used by individual members of the SunROC/Cooloola RRG that records the important aspects of development and annual maintenance of their investment stratigies.

 

While managing Software Developent Pty Ltd, Software Support handled the repairs and servicing of Acer computers across Queensland while also being a preferred Acer silver partner.
